The Perth Ball HistoryThe Perth Hunt Ball is believed to be over 150 years old, and was originally established as part of the Perth Social Calendar to coincide with the September Races at Scone. Originally held over two nights, the Ball was reduced to a single event during the 1960s and was held at the County Buildings on Tay Street. It continued to be held in Perth until 1992 when a new membership was formed separate from the Hunt. The name was changed to The Perth Ball and this was most frequently held at Blair Castle. It is hoped that the ball will now be held annually at Scone Palace. |
